The Geophysical Survey Supervisor provides office based supervision for all aspects of field operations and its associated survey data acquisition systems as well as coordinating field staff activities.


Duties Performed:  Under the direction of each Operations Manager


  • Work closely with respective project and operational managers to plan and appropriate resources for upcoming projects.
  • Directly supervise field staff members.
  • Coordination of crew assignments and notification of schedules.
  • Coordinate activities with Geo Shop.
  • Provides technical advice and assistance to the field crews.
  • Performs field testing, training and other support offshore as necessary.
  • Assists Operations Manager as needed.
  • Attends port calls of various locations.
  • Supports multiple vessels with all activities.
  • Some offshore work is necessary to maintain knowledge of latest technologies.
  • Some overseas travel necessary.
  • On call 24 hours to facilitate field operations.
  • Assist in Port Call Schedules.
  • Assist in journey management of personnel when necessary.
  • Provides leadership in adhering to and promoting QHSE policies.
  • Drives company vehicle, as needed, to provide support to Geophysical operations.
  • Liaises with project manager to understand project specific goals and requirements.
  • Acts an internal consultant for technical considerations related to commercial bids and key project preparation.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Possess solid technical capabilities and understanding
  • Employee must be able to work effectively with departmental and inter-company personnel to satisfactorily complete jobs
  • Moderate required; ability and willingness to travel to remote office and field
  • Possess current driver's license with acceptable motor vehicle
  • Possessor eligible for valid
  • Have highly developed communications skills, including writing and speaking
  • Observe and follow all company safety rules and procedures
  • Support and encourage continuous improvement of the company's processes, including safety program and quality management system
  • Able to meet deadlines
  • Able to work while under stress
  • Perform other duties as assigned


 10+years geophysical field experience or related business


Education/ Certification:

 Preferred:  A.S., B.S from an accredited (or equivalent) college or university.
